  Dr. Lasalle's office is in a great location, and the office itself is very new and state-of-the-art. The Doctor is very nice and capable, as is the front staff. There's coffee or tea while you wait, and the overall feel and view from the office is very nice. My issue is about the "problems" that were always found in my mouth every time I went, the constant badgering of the office for me to make new appointments, and the constant push to sell me tooth whitening and a Sonicare brush. I am a very healthy girl in her late 20's, and my gums are a bit sensitive. I've been told to keep good home care, and I have been. It seems every time I went went to Dr. Lasalle's office, even if the visits were 6 months apart, I always somehow had 2 new cavities. The Doctor always pushed a "deep cleaning" on me, insisting I needed it or I may get gum disease. The deep cleaning involved spending $500 on each quadrant of my mouth. I continually refused year after year. I clearly remember one of my visits when I was around 15 and still in High School. His hygenist was trying to push their professional tooth whitening service on me! I used whitestrips, and my teeth were very white at the time. I don't know how they could think to sell something like that to a kid in High School who didn't even have a job! It was also a bother that when I didn't call to schedule my next cleaning. I would get quite a few calls from his front desk--one day I actually received 2 calls in one hour insisting I make an appointment because "we care about your health." I found the calls to be very forward. They weren't "would you like to make an appointment?" They were more like "i'm calling to make your next appointment. How does Thursday the 16th work for you?" This is the only Doctor's office where i've felt I was being solicited for my next visit instead of being allowed the freedom of calling them when I was ready and able to come in. Now today, I have found an excellent new dentist with an excellent reputation. I have not yet had a deep cleaning, and my teeth and gums are the same they were years ago. Do you know that in the 2 years i've been going to him, I have not had one cavity?? Also, I asked my new Dentist if he thought I needed a deep cleaning, and he said, "no just keep flossing well at home, and you'll be fine. You have good teeth. We just need to keep an eye on your gums." No sales pitch. I'm not insisting Dr. Lasalle's office operates dishonestly. I liked him and his staff very much, and it was always easy to make an appointment. I rarely waited to be seen. However, I was never pushed so much to spend more unecessary money on my mouth than when I was going to his office for 8 years.
